This past Wednesday, July 21st, as the sun slowly set in the West, and the gentle summer breeze softly caressed a very receptive audience, Moose Jaw's Megan Nash and her band The Best of Intentions rocked the E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts' fourth drive-in concert of the season. Nash was in fine form as she cycled through close to 90 minutes of both new and old original material and a pair of well placed cover tunes. It was her band's second show back in front of a live audience but you would never know as they were tight and on point. Nash is indeed a phenomenal songwriting talent and a truly engaging performer.

Throughout the pandemic, the Rawlinson crew has done a fantastic job of keeping the music alive in Prince Albert. Each concert that they have produced over the past 18 months of COVID-19 restrictions has brought something unique and different to the table on top of hosting an array of local Saskatchewan talent. Nash's concert was no exception and she couldn't stop talking about how great the Rawlinson staff and crew are.

“I love these drive-in shows, I think they’re such a cool format and the production quality is so great. The team here honestly they’re amazing people and I’ve been looking forward to playing this show not only to play in front of an audience but to play for the folks here at the EA Rawlinson Centre For the Arts because they’re the kindest people. They’re so great to work with. This has been a really great way to get back into it for sure,” gushed Nash after the show.

At the end of the day, the Rawlinson has proven, with these drive-in shows that they have been able to, time and time again, produce top quality entertainment for an affordable price. The environment held onto the intimacy of an indoor show thanks to the sound and lighting crew. In the meantime, the outdoor setting radiated the fun atmosphere of a festival setting. Kudos to them and huge kudos to Nash for an awesome evening.
